Nancy Heart
Nancy Heart was a spy for the Patriots during the war. She dressed as a simple mined man and wandered into Tory camps in order to gather information and pass it along to the Patriots. She also fought in the Battle of Kettle Creek Feb.14, 1779. Although she didn't become famous until stories spread about her killing a group of Tory's who invaded her home and demanded that she cook them a meal.
